Report of the Cemetery Commission

Greetings to all, As new members of the cemetery commission, both Judy Durlack and Tim Drumm have been researching the cemeteries of Alford. We have numerous documentation of the Center Cemetery, Osbourne and John’s Cemetery. From this research it has been determined that open cemetery plots are limited and in the case of John’s Cemetery, East Road there is no more space available. This has prompted us to ask if there would be anyone within the Town of Alford who would make available a parcel of land for a cemetery of which the Town of Alford would maintain for its town residents.
